Zak’s Yard Hi-Protein Peanut Butter — Complete Guide

Zak's Yard Hi-Protein Peanut Butter — Everything You Need to Know

When we developed the Hi-Protein Peanut Butter, we had a specific Pakistani customer in mind: the gym-goer who is trying to hit daily protein targets without relying entirely on expensive imported supplements. Protein powder works — but it’s one-dimensional, often unpleasant on its own, and expensive. Peanut butter is delicious, versatile, and now — with our Hi-Protein formulation — meaningfully nutritious for active people.

The Numbers That Matter

Who is it For?

Gym-Goers and Strength Trainers

If you're trying to build muscle, protein is everything. The general recommendation for strength training is 1.6–2g of protein per kilogram of bodyweight. For a 75kg person, that's 120–150g daily. Getting there from Pakistani food alone — roti, daal, sabzi — is genuinely challenging. Two tablespoons of Zak's Yard Hi-Protein PB provides 12g of protein and takes 30 seconds to prepare.

Weight Loss Dieters

High-protein, low-carb diets are highly effective for fat loss. Our Hi-Protein PB has significantly lower carbohydrates than standard peanut butter while providing more protein — ideal for people on structured fat loss programmes. The protein and fat combination also maximises satiety, reducing overall calorie intake throughout the day.

Busy Professionals

Not everyone can cook chicken breast three times a day. Hi-Protein PB is a zero-prep, zero-cooking protein source that works at breakfast, as a snack, or post-workout. It requires no refrigeration before opening, making it ideal for office desk drawers and gym bags.

How to Use It

Classic Post-Workout Shake

2 tablespoons Hi-Protein PB blended with 300ml milk, 1 banana, and a handful of ice. Total protein: approximately 22g. Tastes like a milkshake. Takes 90 seconds to make.

Protein PB Toast

2 tablespoons on 2 slices of multigrain bread. Add a sliced banana. Total protein: approximately 20g. Complete breakfast in under 2 minutes.

Overnight Protein Oats

Mix 80g oats + 2 tbsp Hi-Protein PB + 250ml milk. Refrigerate overnight. Total protein from this alone: approximately 24g. Perfect meal-prep breakfast.

Direct by Spoon

We won't judge. Many customers eat it straight from the jar as a snack. At 12g protein per 2 tablespoons, it's one of the most efficient snacks available.

Comparing to Protein Supplements

Whey protein provides more protein per gram than peanut butter — typically 24g per 30g serving vs our 12g. But whey protein provides only protein. Zak's Yard Hi-Protein PB provides protein, healthy fats, fibre, vitamin E, magnesium, zinc, and phosphorus — a more complete nutritional package. The smart approach is to use both: peanut butter daily, protein powder around training sessions.

Ingredient Transparency

We've been asked many times: how do you get 12g protein per serving? The answer is selection and formulation — optimising the peanut variety and roasting process to maximise natural protein content, rather than adding protein isolate powders. Our Hi-Protein PB contains the same natural ingredient philosophy as all Zak's Yard products.

Storage and Shelf Life

Unopened: 6 months from production date. After opening: consume within 2–3 months. Store in a cool, dry place. After opening, refrigerate for a firmer texture and slower oil separation. Natural oil separation at the top of the jar before first use is normal — stir before use.
